Another Day
The games we play, the things we say
The way we block the other’s way
The strange replay, repeat each day
And end each night with silence
The gray between us grows and grows
But never will it go away
My black, your white, our mix of prose
Our mentals show the violence
Cause we do fight but not with fists
We brawl with cold heart missile hits
Explode like nuclear atom splits
We winterize our climate
We aim and strike or say we might
Our banners wave in winds of spite
Who did who wrong, who don’t do right
Who realized who was lying
But all that fades when down we lay
But all that goes when we unfold
And all we know is that we don’t know
And that tomorrow is another day
But all that fades when down we lay
But all that goes when we unfold
And all we know is that we don’t know
And that tomorrow is another day

I love this poem, Mr. Barnes, especially how you added a bit of 'tune' to the ending… beautiful.
Thanks! I'm always afraid to do anything in a sing-song voice…but I figured other people that can't sing make whole albums :)) Thanks again! Compliments are the fuel for my machine.
Yes… compliments… a stroking of the ego… we all need that from time and again!
