But…is guidance so bad? I wouldn’t mind a shepherd that guided me and mines in a good direction. At the same time, I’d still like to have room to do my own thing, or break free from the flock if I so choose. Without fear of reprisal that is.
Additionally, sheep don’t NEED a shepherd. They were getting along fine before we started herding them. That goes for most animals.
There’s also that pesky little part of reality that lets us know that shepherds only lead sheep until it’s time to fleece or slaughter em 🙂

Only Sheep Need a Shepherd
