the birth

4 orionnebula1 | the birth | Poetry, Writing | birth

the birth

dazzled and blinded by glances
from stars that lie distant and hard to find
glist’ning from darker skies

witnessed and listed
it’s fitted to brighter minds

kisses from heaven they lifted from
mama’s thighs
wet red and bawling
and screaming and traumatized

the soul saw its chance and it leaped and
they harmonized

and so now the dance
will begin until harder times
when soul departs man and we weep
and we cauterize
wounds that are ragged and deep

a dragon that sleeps in our dreams
can be seen in our father’s eyes

passed down for us to repeat
until us turns to me

and I slowly speak of
my father’s crimes

oh how blessed are we
