RaDéjà turns 12 tomorrow, then there's Christmas for her and Ramir (3 3/4) right after. I meant to create a wishlist, but kept getting sidetracked.

Every single coin that they make
as our profit
Anything that's left, we will take
without conscience
Tell em work harder, ain't no breaks
Dismiss hardship

Always make them think it's their fault
Feed them nonsense
Smooth out and medicate their thoughts
Pills as progress

That's the process
We'll keep them numbed up and dumbed down
Claim their assets

It's too easy

They will fight with one another

Wrote this many, many...many years ago 😂 Always wanted to develop it into a kid's book. Now that I've rediscovered it, maybe I will 🤔

** To Touch the Sky **

Once upon a time, in a village east of the moon and west of the sun, there lived a young girl named Kichi.

Kichi loved to dance on the winds and weave images with sunrays. She would spend the whole day creating beautiful pictures with the sunlight. Then she would spend whole nights dancing on the heavy breeze that nighttime brought.

But Kichi wasn't special; in fact, everyone in the village had the same amazing abilities. They would have races on the winds, and contests to see who wove the best.

Also in this village there lived, Mother Shiru, and she knew everything that was worth knowing. Kichi would always ask her questions like: "Where does the sky come from?" and "How does water stay afloat?" But today Kichi asked something completely different. She wanted to know how come she could dance on a breeze but never touch the sky. Mother Shiru responded with a riddle:

In that time between times
When daylight and night dies
And dark wing'd heralds give out their shrill cries
And you, young Kichi, sigh your last sigh

It is then that you will understand
And then,
You will touch the skies

Kichi left Mother Shiru's house confused that day, and went back to making pictures with the light.
